Only one educational institute in the State made it to the list of top 10 most trusted institutes in the country. PES University was placed seventh in the list of ‘India’s Most Trusted Educational Institutes – 2014-15’, a study conducted by brand analytics and insights company TRA (formerly Trust Research Advisory).
Hindu College, New Delhi, was voted the most trusted educational institute in the study conducted among 7,710 respondents across 40 cities. The Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, was ranked second, followed by Loyola College, Chennai; Anna University, Chennai; and Hansraj College, New Delhi. TRA’s study came up with more than 30,000 institutes of which the top 1,000 are listed in the report.

Meet Manu Kothari, winner of the IET India Scholarship, South Region. With that win, he qualifies for the National Finals to be held in Bangalore on August 26, 2014. At the finals the stakes are higher, scholarship worth 1 lakh rupees. The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), earlier known as (IEE) is one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community.

Tejas Dharamsi has been chosen as Google Student Ambassador for PES University and India after an intense round of interview. Tejas will be representing PES University at Google India Summit-2014 to be held in Pune. He gets a chance to visit Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California on invitation. His outstanding performance at the Google Summer of Code-2014 has earned him an invite to the 10th anniversary celebrations (GSoC-ReUnion) at the same venue.
Tejas Dharamsi is a student of 5th Semester CSE.
The inauguration of the first batch of BTech programs of PES University was marked by a graceful function. Pro Chancellor, Dr Jawahar highlighted the vision shared by the staff and management of the university, the vision to provide substantially superior education. In his words, it is about a 2X learning experience, which is twice as effective as that provided in any other university.
The Chief Guest, Mr Naveen Tewari. CEO InMobi, shared his thoughts on education in the light of his own experience as a student that led to a successful entrepreneurial journey. He gently cautioned the students that from this day whatever they do is on their own and that will decide their future.
The elegant function started with a melodious invocation and candle lighting. Principal of PESIT Dr. K S Sridhar introduced the chief guest and dignitaries on the dais. Prof Jawahar in his inimitable style encapsulated the story of PES from the dream of a young boy to a reputed group of institutions. He touched upon how the spirit of perseverance, excellence and service guided the journey which has crossed important milestones. One of the milestones ahead according to him includes creating a 100 crore endowment fund for scholarships. He promised a unique learning experience at PESIT which is result of the single minded focus on students.
