At the Prof. CNR Rao and Prof. MRD merit scholarships award ceremony, 3276 students received over Rs. 2.19 crores in scholarship. The recipients were honored by Sri Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math at the event held on PES University campus.
The local media found the wall painting celebrating 25 years of the PESIT to be an inspiring and colorful space on campus. The lively hues, bold silhouettes and sweeping brushstrokes reflect the vibrancy and innovative spirit of the student community. Our chess team won third place at the South Zone chess competition held at Anna University. The chess wizards are Pavan Shiralagi, Naren Kumar, Akshay Bharatwaj, Anantharam, Yashskara, students of engineering program. The team will be representing PES University at the all India university games to be held at Bhopal.

Independence Day at PES University was marked by flag hoisting, thoughts on progressive India, alumni meet, prizes to winners of alumni matches, and cultural programmes. Chief Guest Dr. Arthi, Vibhu Academy talked about Swami Vivekananda’s contribution to Indian spiritual movement.
The students of hotel and event management showcased their culinary skills by way of putting up food counters at the venue of a popular university event. The students burnt the midnight oil to dish out luscious chocolates and tongue tinglers like chats and sandwiches.
The classes for diploma, bachelor’s and master’s program in Pharmacy were inaugurated in the august presence of chief guest, Dr. Veena Vinod Kumar, senior manager, Global safety, Novo Nordisk Service Centre.
Students got a first-hand experience of using the latest equipment and interactive hands on sessions with the professional chefs. The workshop demonstrated the utility value of grill, dishes like roast chicken, chicken shaslik, and pizzas with varied toppings.
The BBA Hospitality & Event Management department conducted an Oriental Cuisine workshop with special emphasis on Chinese Cuisine on Aug 10-11, 2017. The demo and workshop, an alumni Initiative was curated by Pavan (2007 batch), Sous Chef, Leela Palace, proved to be a great experiential learning opportunity.
