PES University signs an MoU with IIT Bombay

In a landmark development, PES University (PESU) and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at IIT Bombay’s Campus in Mumbai on January 20, 2015.

The MOU was signed by Prof. Devang Khakhar, Director, IIT Bombay and Prof. K N Balasubramanya Murthy, Vice-Chancellor, PES University in the presence of key representatives from both IIT Bombay and PESU.

The MoU provides a framework for both PESU and IIT Bombay to collaborate on programmes leading to Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D degrees at PESU. This MoU is expected to result in the development and organization of short-term training and certificate courses apart from enabling PESU stakeholders to take part in continuing education programmes of IITB.

Speaking about the MoU, Prof. Khakhar remarked that it will allow both the institutes to successfully collaborate in various research and development activities and also extend support to each other in academic and other initiatives.

On this occasion, Prof. Murthy said that PESU is pleased to be in collaboration with IIT Bombay. This engagement is expected to strengthen the drive for research and innovation at PESU by development of new areas of R&D. He added that given our team of professors and students who will work with IIT Bombay, we hope to generate some ground-breaking inventions and see them productized in the near future.
