Exploring Padel: Insights from Alan Mealy's Talk at PES BBA

PES students of BBA Sports Management welcomed Mr Alan Mealy,Founder of Padel Sports India, a sports tech platform and leading padel and pickleball club operator for the Guest Talk on 23rd August 2023 . He holds a Ms.Sc Honours in financial Mathematics from Dublin City University and his passion for Sports makes him one of the top distributors in the Paddle and Pickleball purchase. Mr.Alan is a co-shareholder of Andy Murray's UK-based padel company, Game4padel, and has partnered in India with Badminton legend, Pullela Gopichand. He was accompanied by Mr.Supreeth.K, the Head of Paddle and Pickle Ball Sales. He hails from Karnataka and he is an International Tennis Umpire. The session was to expand the fast-growing Padel sports which is one of the highest played games in Us and UK, along with Professional Players form other sports, like MS. Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, and many more. Padel is a fusion of Tennis and Squash. The scoring points are as 10,8,2 and ts paled in doubles. The Net is lower than that of Tennis and the Padel (Racket) is smaller than the Tennis/Squash Rackets. The game is very interesting to play as it gives the pleasure of 2 different sports in one.
