PES University and Bajaj Auto Limited join hands to offer skills training

Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) as part of its CSR initiative has set up a skills training center at PES University campus to train students from colleges located in Tier 2 and 3 cities of Karnataka. The center named Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery which includes high-end hardware and software to import training.

PES University is the first Institution in the state of Karnataka to have set up the center and will be selecting Graduate Engineering students and diploma Holders to undergo the training.

To kick start the activity, BEST@PESU organized an introduction meeting about the program at GSSDIETW, Mysore to share information with the Principals of colleges in the Mysuru region. The meeting was attended by principals and Training and Placement Officers (TPOs) representing various colleges in the region.

During the meeting, representatives from BEST@PESU presented the comprehensive training programs designed to enhance students' proficiency in the Manufacturing sector. The programs encompass a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges of the industry.

Senior leaders from Bajaj and PES University took part in the program along with the GSSS leadership team.

BEST@PESU is dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry as a step towards providing technical skills and increasing employability among Graduates.
