Care and Share should be our governing values: Dr. M.R. Doreswamy

Bharat Unleashed is not a slogan, a mere collection of words; it is a reverberation at every corner of the PES campus.  It is reminiscent of all the people who have gathered today.  The golden jubilee celebration of the PES institution took off in an elegant mode with a galaxy of speakers of the likes of Naveen Tewary, founder and CEO of InMobi group, and Ms. Ramya Vishwanath, Senior Director, Marketing at Lowe'S Services India.

The notable part of the speaker's conclave was the innovation of Shri. Raman and Shri. Lakshman, alumni of PES University, who created a device for hearing at an affordable price for kids born deaf. The device could replace the expensive and risky surgical procedure and does not interfere in the daily living of the affected person. This innovation has been appreciated by the health authorities of the World Health Organization.

In his presidential speech, Dr. M. R. Doreswamy, Honourable Chancellor of PES University recollected his early days and informed the audience that his entry into the education sector was purely accidental.  He thanked Shri. Dayanand Sagar for entrusting him with the responsibility of running his Dayanand Sagar institutions. He shared that he worked hard to make the institution achieve the number one position in Bangalore University. Looking at the success he achieved, well-wishers advised him to start an institution of his own and that is how the PES came into existence in 1972, which he took upon himself passionately. Over the years, PES has grown in quality and quantity and caters to the cause of education with over 25000 studying in 40 different programs. Dr. M. R. Doreswamy emphasized three Ls-life-long learning to build one's successful career. He urged every student to be determined to be a great achiever.  He informed the gathering that over 2500 faculty are employed with PES and thanked the faculty for the growth of the institution.

Shri. Naveen Tewari, Founder and CEO of InMobi group addressed the students on aspiring to dream and focus on innovation to be a successful entrepreneur. He urged students to remain in India and make India the top country in the field of technology and service sector.

Smt. Ramya Vishwanath, Senior Director of marketing at Lowe's services India spoke on the behavioral aspects of marketing and consumer experiences.

Shri. Shreyas Hosur, IAS, Deputy Financial Advisor to the Government of India acknowledged PES University for providing the platform for his successful career as a civil servant with technical knowledge and skills.

Prof. D. Jawahar, Pro-Chancellor of PES University welcomed the august gathering. Ten alumni of the PES institution have been felicitated for their remarkable contribution to the society. The day's celebration ended with a musical performance by Abby V and Ananya.
