Symposium on Pharmacy Practice at 21st Century: Regulation, Technology and Pharmaceutical Care

Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, PES University, HN Campus, 50 Feet Road, Hanumanthanagar Bengaluru-560050 organized a Symposium on Pharmacy Practice at 21st Century: Regulation, Technology and Pharmaceutical Care on Wednesday the 15th December 2021 at PES University, 100 Reet Ring Road, BSK III Stage Hosakerehalli, Bengaluru-560085.

Dr. M.R. Doreswamy, Ex-MLC, Former Advisor, Education reforms GoK, Hon’ble Chancellor, PES University. Founder Chairman, PES Institutions, Bengaluru presided over the function. The dais was occupied by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, PES University Dr. Surya Prasad J. & Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, HN Campus Dr. J. Saravanan, Prof. M.V. Satyanarayana, Director , HN Campus, Dr. Sanjay Boldhane Vice president Formulation development, Microlabs, Rajendra Thamboli Subject Matter Expert, Strategist- Pharma Formulations as speakers of the Event followed by Badrinath D. R., Dr. Vijaya Vathsa and Partha pal are Invited for the Panel Discussion.

Event was commenced with an Invocation song followed by welcome note by Dr. J Saravanan, Dean of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Dr. M R Doreswamy sir addressed the gathering as Pharmacy is one of the Noble profession with broad opportunities and challenges, therefore students should aware of latest developments that are being practiced, where seminars, research activities, conference’s will play a key role in widening the knowledge. He also noted that Practical knowledge plays a key role and also students should aware of current industrial practices, expectations and Standards.

One of the speakers Dr. Sanjay Boldhane has briefed about the significance of proper plan of clinical trial in order to have valid and reliable results. The second Speaker Mr. Rajendra Thamboli addressed that Pharmacists play an important role in pharmaceutical industry and society. He also mentioned that Pharmaceutical products directly deal with the human life’s so utmost importance should be given for improving the standards in pharmacy profession.

As the second part of the session during the panel discussion the panelist Badrinath D.R., Dr. Vijaya Vathsa and Mr. Partha Pal had an interactive session with students on various aspects of formulation, marketing, therapeutic applications and pharmaceutical care. Dr. Saravanan J Dean, Faculty of pharmaceutical sciences concluded the session with vote of thanks.
