PES School Adoption Program (PESSAP)

PES School Adoption Program (PESSAP)

PES School Adoption Program (PESSAP) is the brain child and a unique program designed, implemented and articulated across the State of Karnataka by our Founder Chairman Dr. M R Doreswamy.

This program is unique for every government school as it is designed based on a need-analysis of the school. Goal is to provide an ideal environment that encourages holistic development through infrastructural and personnel support and mainly to complement what the govt is already doing. This includes:

1. Providing basic infrastructural facilities including Class rooms

2. Setting up of computer labs in schools

3. Cultivating reading habits through a library setup

4. Improving drinking water facility in the schools.

5. Installing functional and separate washrooms for girls and boys or renovating the existing ones in the schools.

6. Teachers capacity building workshop

The PESSAP started way back in 1998 when PES adopted 12 Government Schools in the vicinity of its Hanumanthanagar Campus and Ring Road Campus and later extended by adopting 6 more Government Schools.

Later during 2014, PES adopted 10 BBMP schools under the programme “NAMMA BENGALURU NANNA KODUGE”.

PES is currently carrying out critical interventions in 34 Government schools in the districts of Bangalore, Bagalkot and Belagavi impacting nearly 3,000+ students and 60+ teachers. Seven Government Schools and two Anganwadi centres which suffered extensive damages in the flood-hit Bagalkot and Belagavi districts were adopted by PES University under the leadership of our Hon’ble Chancellor.

All these schools are all set to be operational. New desks, tables, chairs and Almirahs for storing library books have been despatched during October 2021 after seeking permission from the Office of the Commissioner.

Hon’ble Chief Minister has given has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest for the Inauguration and handing over programme which is scheduled on March 26, 2022.
