Orientation event of quantum computing club

The event introduced the students to the importance of beginning to work on quantum technologies in earnest. The necessity of Quantum was explained through Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms, the first algorithms of quantum computing. The objective of Qforest quantum computing club is to remove the hype around quantum and get people excited about actually understanding the in-depth concepts, the fundamentals and creating applications. The attendees were briefed about the roles in the club related to marketing, outreach, logistics and operations, technical and non technical content, finance, web-development, photography and video-editing, sponsorship, and design. The quiz featuring questions on quantum mechanics, quantum computing and quantum information was won by Rahul Jaikrishna, Manit Bohra and Karthikeya Machiraju. The orientation for QForest club was held on November 16, 2023 at RR campus.
