Workshop on Quantum Entanglement
The workshop was conducted by Ms Indu who began by explaining the concepts of classical mechanics and how it begins to fail when everything is scaled to atomic levels. She outlined misconceptions about Quantum Computing such as its replacing classical computers and how they differ in their functionalities. She spoke about her research of cryptography in a situation when classical encryption algorithms fail. The students were introduced to Qiskit, an online quantum computing and coding platform. The participants gained an understanding of basic gates at the sub-atomic level like Quantum NOT gates, the Pauli X, Y, Z, gates with visual representation of each concept. QForest club organized the workshop on Quantum Entanglement in association with Information Security Forensics and Cyber Resilience (ISFCR) on February 14, 2024 at RR campus.
