Site visit to understand urban and regional planning

The students of architecture were tasked with analyzing the study area by detailed observation of the physical characteristics, including topography, land use, infrastructure, and environmental conditions and contextual awareness to gain insights into the social, economic, and cultural context of the area, which influences planning decisions. Students collected relevant data on-site, such as measurements, photographs, and notes on environmental or infrastructural features, and learned to analyze spatial data understanding how different site elements interact with one another. They identified real-world problems and constraints, such as traffic congestion, limited space, or environmental hazards. The Faculty of Architecture organized the  site visit to VV Puram as part of the course on urban and regional planning on September 11, 2024.
