Guest talk on space, memory and design
The speaker, architect Pooja Ugrani explored concepts from Existence, Space and Architecture by Christian Norberg-Schulz, offering students a vocabulary to express memories in relation to space. The talk encouraged a reflective process of mapping memories and viewing space as an anchor or witness to these experiences. It also discussed how this understanding could be applied to the design process, helping students connect emotional and spatial elements in architecture, enriching their approach to creating meaningful spaces. The Department of Architecture hosted the talk titled Space. Memory. Design., led by architect Pooja at RR campus on November 26, 2024.
