PES University held the Inaugural ceremony of the first-year BBA, B com, and B sc (psychology) courses for the academic year 2022-2023 on July 31, 2022. Shri. Vishweshwara Bhat, Editor in Chief, Viswavani Daily, and Prof. M R Doreswamy, Chancellor, PES University, Advisor, Education Reforms, GoK felicitated the toppers and sports achievers of the university.

Addressing the Students, Shri Vishweshvara Bhat said that the present generation is living in the most exciting times in terms of education, learning, and career opportunities. He acknowledged the role of the technological and digital revolution which has created such possibilities and urged the students to make optimum utilization of the same. He congratulated the University for creating ethically superior and socially responsible citizens. Recollecting his association with Prof. M R Doreswamy for over thirty years, he lauded his dedication, efforts, and vision in building the institution. He wished all the new entrants great success in their academic journey and career pursuits and assured the parents that their wards are in safe hands and their decision of choosing PES is absolutely wise. 

In his inaugural speech, Prof. M R Doreswamy acknowledged the accomplishments and contributions of private universities in providing quality education in Karnataka. He also emphasized the importance of following the calendar of events to provide a structured education. He opined that if an institution attains A+ in NAAC grading, continuously for two consecutive years, then the institution should be recognized as autonomous. This autonomy will ensure quality education as can be seen in the performance of private universities in terms of providing quality education and job placements. He also emphasized the importance of Yoga in ensuring health and concentration. Quoting Swamy Vivekananda, who recognized divinity in all humans, urged the students to find the same in themselves and others.

Dr. Surya Prasad, Vice Chancellor, PES University welcomed the gathering, and Dr. Shailahree Haridas, Dean of Commerce and Management programmmes proposed vote of thanks. C.S.Ashwin and Abdul, the alumni of the University who are currently placed in Dell and Intellipart respectively shared their experiences of their stay at the institution. Abdul described PES as perfect-elegant and structured. 

Dr. J. Surya Prasad, Vice-Chancellor, PES University, Dr. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar, PES University, and Dr. Shailashree Haridas, Dean, management, and Commerce graced the occasion. The inaugural ceremony was followed by an academic orientation for the students by Prof. D. Jawahar, Pro-chancellor, PES University.

PES Polytechnic Inaugurated the 1 st Year Classes for Diploma students and Felicitation to Toppers was held on 3rd July 2022, Dr. M R Doreswamy, Chancellor, PES University, MLA Sri Ravi Subramanya Basavanagudi was the Chief Guest on this occasion.

Addressing the New Students Sri Ravi Subramanya said that Educational Institutions must focus on inculcating moral values in the students and this should help them become ethically strong individuals. He added that the role and responsibility of teachers and parents in moulding the children as sensible citizens of the Nation is

immense. The students need to develop an interest in developing make-in-India projects such as Athma Nirbar Proposed by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this regard, he also said that PES is in Forefront to prepare students across all programs of the University. He praised on the students of the University who with the help of ISRO and DRDO could launch 2 microsatellites successfully. He said that PES today is the Most sought-after Institution not just for students and parents but for everyone who wishes to see their children’s come up in life successfully.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. M R Doreswamy stressed the need for value education in the education system. He said that the main motto of PES Institutions is to create professionally strong and ethically superior citizens. He also appreciated the role of teachers in nurturing the students with the best qualities. He said teachers are the ones who make or mar an institution. He advised the students to have a thirst to learn and told them to learn with immense interest and concentration for which physical activities are beneficial. He emphasized the importance of Yoga for better mental and physical health. He added that the Institution is continuously striving for the overall development of students through the mentoring system which is his recommendation to the education department and mentioned the merit scholarship which is the unique quality of PES Institutions. On the occasion of Golden Jubilee Celebrations, he ensured that the students will get ample opportunities to participate in various events that will be conducted throughout the academic year and invited all students to enthusiastically participate in these events and make memories. He requested the parents to fully support and co-operate with the management to create a colorful future for their children. The Prof.CNR & Prof.MRD Scholarship will be provided form school to university for eligible students every year.

In his presidential speech, Dr. Surya Prasad said that Dr. M R Doreswamy is an embodiment of actions and assured the students that they are in the best campus to make their dreams come true. He also advised to build the ability of time management, confidence and peer pressure for the current trend. He informed students to make best use of all the facilities offered by PES.

4 Final year toppers were felicitated with GOLD Medals and 8 2nd year & 1st-year toppers were felicitated with a certificate of merit and a Cash Voucher of Rs.1,000/- each. The toppers were motivated to achieve the better feat in the future.

At the outset, it gives us immense pleasure to announce the rank list of PESSAT-2021 entrance test conducted for admission to B.Tech programs of PES University for the academic year 2021-22. PES University successfully conducted PESSAT 2021 during July 30 – Aug 22, 2021. 

A 10-point Anti-COVID SOPs was formulated by PES for the safe conduct of PESSAT-2021 across the country.  

PESSAT-2021 witnessed a large turnout of candidates to take the test despite the prevailing circumstances. Over 18,000 students from across the country applied for B.Tech Programs offered by the University. PESSAT-2021 was conducted in 43 centres across India. 

Dr. M R Doreswamy, Hon’ble Chancellor of PES University and President of PES felicitated the top 5 rankers of PESSAT-2021 with appreciation certificates in the presence of their parents, the press and the media on 25th August 2021.

The first rank was bagged by Mr. Shrikara A, the second rank was bagged by Mr.Aditya Prabhash, the third rank was bagged by Mr.Arnav Arvind, the fourth rank was bagged by Mr. Yashas M Salian and the fifth rank was bagged by Mr. Vidya Sagar G.

The first round of PESSAT counseling will be held on September 4th and 5th at PES University.
