  • Inter-Department Throwball competition

    Department of Computer Science and Engineering emerged as winners in the The Inter-Department Throwball competition was held at the Electronic City Campus on Feb 6-7.

  • Reviving the tradition of Lagori

    To revive the memories of childhood and enjoy traditional games, the department of MCA organised inter semester Lagori games. The second semester team emerged as the winners in the final game held at PESU RR campus on Feb 11, 2020.

  • Inter-department Volleyball competition

    Department of Computer Science and Engineering won the inter-department Volleyball competition and Department of Science and Humanities emerged as runner up. The contest in which 9 teams participated was held at EC campus from Feb 3-5, 2020.

  • Celebrating festival of kites

    As part of the Makar Sankranti celebrations, the MCA department organised a kite flying session for students. Dr. Veena S, Chairperson of the department inaugurated the event in which more than 50 students took part. Some students experienced kite flying for first time and those skilled in the game took the kites high in the sky. The sight of kites of different colours, shapes and sizes, high in the air was mesmerising. The message of freedom and growth with strings of responsibilities attached to the ground was loud and clear at this event held at PESU RR campus on Jan 28, 2020.

  • 4th International Staff Tournament

    4th International Staff Tournament was organized by Department of Physical Education & Sports at PES University from Jan 20 to 23, 2020. Staff members from more than 35 Engineering Colleges actively participated in this mega event including University of Colombo and University of Kelaniya from Sri Lanka Tyagarajan College of Engineering, Coimbatore and Manipal Institution of Technology and Kasturba Medical College from Manipal. Badminton and Cricket were major sports in this event.

    Runners- RV College of Engineering, Bangalore

    Best Batsman - Mr. Girish, PES University.

    Best bowler - Mr. Chetan V, Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology.

    Best All-rounder - Mr. Suresh Priyanta, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

  • PES Student in the News: Rahul Nechicattu

    Rahul J Nechicattu secured third place in 11th All Japan Open Karate Championship. Rahul is a student of 7th semester of Mechanical engineering with PES University, EC campus. The sports championship was organised by the International Budo Karate Organization (IBKO) at Yokohama, Japan on Oct 12-13, 2019.
  • Wins at Kreedotsava 2019

    Sports teams from PES University won in the women’s Badminton, men’s Table tennis, men’s Chess and men’s Badminton events and were declared runners up in men’s Badminton event at Kreedotsava 2019. The sports event was organised by BMS College of Engineering recently.
  • PES University are overall champions in INFINI 2019

    Fifty one engineering college from across Karnataka and Savitha University from Chennai and University of Moratuwa from Sri Lanka took part in Infini 2019 organised by department of Physical Education and Sports of PES University. The sports meet had events of Badminton (men’s and women’s), Basketball (men’s & women’s); Futsal(men’s); Cricket(men’s); Kabaddi(men’s) and Throwball (women’s). The international sports fest was held from 12-16 Oct 2019 at Ring Road and Electronic City campuses.
  • Infini 2019 held

    Fifty one Engineering college from across Karnataka and Savitha University from Chennai and University of Moratuwa from Sri Lanka took part in Infini 2019 organised by department of Physical Education and Sports of PES University.   • Lagey Lagori League 2019 curated by students held

    Students got an opportunity to curate the unique event with the assistance of Team REdbull Sports. The event saw the indigenous sport of Lagori drawing the interest of corporates and student community. The event showed the immense business potential of an age old game. Chris Croning of RedBull Sports and Dr. Vijaykumar, Dean of Management Studies spoke on the occasion.
  • Inter-departmental Carom tournament

    B R MOHAMMED SAQALIN MUSHTAQ and SIDDESH H emerged as winner and runner-up in the Inter-departmental Carom tournament. Both the players are students of third semester in Mechanical Engineering. The event was organised by the Physical Education department of the university.
  • PESU Football team wins BIG!

    PESU Football team wins the tittle at the SPIEL Tournament organized by St Joseph's College. The team also clinched the Winners Title at DEVADAN CUP 2019, organized by Faculty of Engineering, Christ University.

  • Alumni meet

    The alumni team was at its best, winning the football match against the students in an exciting duel. The contest started with the oath “We the Family of PES Take an oath as per PES Traditions. The match will happen in a fair mode. I will maintain the spirit every athlete would maintain.” The prize distribution and interactive session followed. The alumni of BBA HEM program of batches from 1996 to 2018 participated in the event held on September 1, 2018 on the university’s football turf.
  • Third edition of the PES sports magazine released

    The department of physical education and sports organized inter department sports festival and winners were awarded in a ceremony held at PES Cricket Stadium on April 23. Pro-Chancellor, Prof D Jawahar released the third edition of the PES sports magazine on the occasion.
  • PES Hoopsters net a winner

    PES men’s basket ball team emerged winners in the 2K18 CUP. The competition was organized by PESIT-BSC.
  • Ekalavya award for Keerthana

    Keerthana received the prestigious Eklavya award for her outstanding performance in Rowing competitions. The national rowing champion is a proud recipient of an impressive trophy from Karnataka state Youth Empowerment and Sports Department and a cash prize of Rs two lakhs. Keerthana is a student of fourth semester of Computer Science and Engineering program.
  • Notable performance at Kreedothsava and Revels

    PES University students secured first place in men’s Badminton and men’s Chess events at Kreedothsava 18 organized by BMSCE on March 9-10 2018. They secured first place in men’s football, second place in women’s tennis and men’s basketball and third place in men’s chess events at Revels-18 organized by MIT, Manipal University from March 7 to 11, 2018.
