Guest lecture on mood disorders

Mood disorders over an extended period of time affect people emotionally. The lecture by Mr Ahmed Asif, a counseling psychologist, discussed the biological aspects, causal factors and effects of mood disorders. He touched upon different aspects of Bipolar Affective Disorder and paranoia and discussed three case studies. The students undertook the exercise of formulating a prognosis and a treatment plan for some of the case studies. The interaction with Mr Ahmed Asif, a counseling psychologist at Inspiron Psychological Well-Being Centre, Corporate and Technology Head of Indiranagar Centre provided students with insights into the mental healthcare industry and the practice of Psychology. The Department of Psychology organized the guest lecture on Mood Disorders by Mr Ahmed Asif on February 16, 2024.
