PES University Hosts Orientation 2025 for Undergraduate Programs

PES University conducted the orientation program for the incoming undergraduate cohort of 2025 across eight academic streams: Management, Commerce, Psychology, Law, Economics, Performing Arts, Design, Computer Applications, and Journalism. The event saw an overwhelming participation of over 4,200 students and parents across multiple venues on campus.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Hon’ble Chancellor, PES University, in the presence of Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Dr. J Suryaprasad, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Shailashree Haridas, Dean – Management and Commerce.

Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Hon’ble Chancellor, PES University, in his keynote address, urged students to pursue academic success with discipline and integrity, anchored in the principles of Hard Work, Money, and Time (HMT). He emphasized the importance of setting personal goals aligned with one of four graduating outcomes: placement, higher studies, internship-to-job conversion, or entrepreneurship.

He introduced PES University's unique mentorship model that tracks both academic and financial accountability, encouraging students to understand the value of money and recognize the financial contribution of parents as a repayable investment. He also shared the university’s performance-based scholarship system and internal opportunities that enable students to offset educational expenses through merit.

Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy stressed the need for effective time management and habit formation, advocating for early rising, regular physical activity, and balanced technology use. He highlighted PES University's advanced AI-driven academic infrastructure and urged students to actively engage in library research, CXO talks, hackathons, and recreation as part of holistic development.

The Chancellor concluded by calling upon students to take responsibility, use resources wisely, and make the most of the university ecosystem in shaping their future.

Dr. J Suryaprasad, Vice Chancellor, PES University, introduced students to the academic rigor and support systems in place, including periodic mentoring and student performance tracking. Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, PES Institution, welcomed students into a digitally enabled learning environment designed for academic excellence and experiential learning.

Dr. Shailashree Haridas, Dean – Management and Commerce, PES University, encouraged students to embrace a purpose-driven journey and take advantage of the university’s immersive learning opportunities.
