PES University’s 3rd edition of The Amateur Manager & Scientist- TAMS 2025

PES University successfully conducted the third edition of its flagship event, TAMS The Amateur Manager & Scientist, a premier national competition designed to ignite the minds of students from grade 8 to grade 12, from all over India, The event saw thousands of young participants converge on the university campus from all over the country for a day of intense competition.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. Ajoy Kumar, COO of PES University; Dr. Surya Prasad, Vice-Chancellor of PES University; and Dr. Shailashree Haridas, Dean of Faculty of Management and Commerce, The participants were warmly welcomed, and were addressed on the critical need to cultivate a spirit of scientific inquiry and managerial acumen from a young age.

The third edition of TAMS registered a staggering 7300 student participants from 400 schools across nine states, solidifying its position as a major national platform for young innovators. The university campus was transformed into a dynamic hub of activity, featuring 17 unique events from sports to circuits to decisions, designed to test the students' analytical, strategic, creative, and problem-solving abilities. The events also saw the students exercise their thinking abilities, teamwork and networking at an early age, all the 7300 students were actively engaged in every possible activity to ensure the day was filled with learning.

Presidency School, Nandini Layout, Bangalore, was bagged the overall winner title, and SJPUC Bangalore, secured the runner-up position.

The event proudly continued its tradition of challenging students to explore the powerful intersection of science and management through experiential learning and activities, TAMS remains true to its founding mission: to provide a unique platform to nurture the next generation of leaders and innovators by fostering both scientific inquiry and essential managerial skills and PES University continues to nurture young minds.
