Anti-ragging and anti-addiction awareness program

Talks on discipline and drug free campus marked the National Anti-Ragging Week and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan program. Students, faculty, and staff affirmed their commitment to creating a drug-free environment and spreading awareness against substance abuse at the mass pledge followed by a rally to sensitize the community on the harmful effects of drug addiction and to encourage healthy, productive lifestyles. Dr. H. R. Krishna Rao emphasized the institution’s commitment to a ragging-free and substance-free campus. Parthasarathi, SDPO, Kuppam, elaborated on the legal implications of ragging, Mr. J. Makkesh Yadav, Circle Inspector of Police, Kuppam Rural, on campus discipline and student responsibility, and Mr. D. Sreenivasulu, Sub Inspector of Police, Gudupalli, on the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of youth response. Mr. Rajasekhar Naidu, CRO, Disability Department, Chittoor District, administered a pledge to the students reaffirming their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle. The programme witnessed active participation from students and Heads of Departments, faculty members, Principals of PES College of Nursing and PES College of Pharmacy. As part of National Anti-Ragging Week, August 12-18 and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, August 1-31, the awareness programmes were organized on August 13 and 18, 2025 at PESIMSR, Kuppam.
