Click to Pitch: Sparking Creativity and Communication at PES University
Innovation often begins with a simple idea—sometimes even with a photograph of an everyday object. This spirit of creativity, spontaneity, and communication came alive at PES University’s Faculty of Management and Commerce during the exciting club activity “Click to Pitch”, organized by INCORATES – The Literature and Communication Club, on January 21, 2026.
The event brought together some of the most dynamic young minds from the BBA and BBA (Business Analytics) programs, creating a space where imagination met strategy, and communication blended with creativity.
A Fun Twist to Creativity: Round 1 – Click to Create
The first round kicked off with high energy as teams participated in a lively Flip the Cup challenge. Quick reflexes were rewarded—teams that succeeded were granted the opportunity to venture across campus, click a photograph of any object, and reinterpret it in three unique ways to form the foundation for their product idea.
Those who didn’t clear the challenge weren’t left behind; they conceptualized product ideas purely from imagination.
The round tested:
- Creative thinking
- Observational skills
- Marketing mindset
- Ability to find innovation in everyday items
It was a reminder that inspiration can come from the simplest things around us when we choose to look closely.
Words That Win: Round 2 – Pitch Perfect
Communication took center stage in the second round. Each team received a base limit of 100 words to pitch their product. But gaining additional word allowance wasn’t so straightforward.
Participants took on a Tongue-Twister challenge, where performance decided how many extra words they could earn. A roll of the dice then multiplied the excitement—each number equaled that many tens of words added to their pitch limit.
In this round, teams presented:
1. Visual Pitch
- Product name
- Photograph captured in Round 1
- A compelling tagline
2. Verbal Pitch
A crisp explanation of the product idea—all while avoiding a “banned word” assigned to them.
This pushed participants to think on their feet and use language strategically.
The round was judged on:
- Rule adherence
- Clarity and impact of visual + verbal pitch
- Originality of idea
- Communication effectiveness
