SciFest 2026: Celebrating Science Through Curiosity, Creativity, and Community at PES University

The Department of Science and Humanities at PES University, Electronic City Campus, celebrated National Science Day 2026 with a vibrant series of events designed to ignite curiosity and deepen scientific understanding among students. Through symposiums, quizzes, and an interactive mobile exhibition, the celebrations highlighted the importance of science in everyday life and encouraged students to explore its practical relevance.

In-House Research Symposium – Science in Everyday Life
The celebrations began on February 11, 2026 with an in-house symposium titled “Science in Day-to-Day Life with Relevance to Research Topic. ”Research scholars presented engaging insights into how scientific concepts relate to common experiences and ongoing research. The session shed light on the idea that scientific principles underpin everyday phenomena, emphasizing the seamless connection between academic inquiry and real-life application.

‘Atomic Adventures’ – A Quiz for the Curious
On February 18, 2026, the spirit of learning continued with “Atomic Adventures,” a science-themed quiz competition. Held from 1:45 PM to 4:45 PM in Seminar Hall 2, the quiz offered a fun and competitive platform for students to test their knowledge of scientific facts, discoveries, and concepts. Participants enjoyed a lively and intellectually stimulating experience that blended education with friendly competition.

Mobile Science Exhibition by VITM – Science Comes Alive
One of the most exciting highlights of SciFest 2026 was the Mobile Science Exhibition (MSE) by the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), Bengaluru.

The exhibition took place near the MRD Student Center on February 27, 2026, running from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Students explored interactive models, hands-on science demonstrations, and engaging exhibits that brought complex scientific ideas to life. The mobile exhibition transformed the campus into an open scientific playground, making learning both immersive and enjoyable.
