ConQuizTador 2018 winners crowned

Delhi Public School, Delhi won the ConQuizTador 2018 title and clinched the Dr M.R. Doreswamy Trophy for Quizzing Excellence. The popular quizzing event saw participation of over 2300 students from Bengaluru and other cities of India. Questions about a wide array of topics such as history, sports, entertainment, and science were posed to the students. Winners of the regional rounds of ConQuizTador, that were conducted earlier in the year competed against each other in the National Finals at Bengaluru. The competition kicked off with the Bengaluru prelims, which was a written test round of 20 questions. Many close calls and good cracks later, St Paul’s English School emerged the Bengaluru champions, while the team from National Hill View Public School took the second place. This was followed by two eliminators in which the national champions battled it out to earn their spot in the Grand Finale. The teams from Jamshedpur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Mysore, Pune, Jamshedpur and Mangalore moved on to the next round. Though the rounds of questions that the finalists attempted to crack left them stumped in some moments, the team from Delhi easily built up a lead early on. The teams from Hyderabad and Mangalore gave them a run for their money, as they followed closely at their heels, racking up points in crucial buzzer rounds. But Delhi’s early lead paid off in the end, winning the title. This annual event is conducted by Quotient Quiz Club, the official quizzing forum of PES University was held on 16th November 2018.
