On March 15, 2026, the buzzing Oracle campus in Kadubeesanahalli, Bengaluru, transformed into a vibrant hub of music, colours, activities, and community spirit. The much‑awaited Oracle Family Carnival brought together employees, families, volunteers, and student coordinators for a fun‑filled day that also doubled as an incredible real‑world learning experience for budding event managers.

Running from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the carnival showcased not only the power of community collaboration but also the immense planning and effort that goes into executing an event of this scale.

Setting the Stage: How It All Began
The day kicked off with student volunteers reporting early to the venue to begin preparations. From logistics to fabrication, every corner of the event space needed attention. The team helped set up stalls, activity zones, seating arrangements, and stage areas—bringing the carnival atmosphere to life.

The responsibilities extended across multiple operational fronts

  • Venue setup and fabrication
  • Managing registrations
  • Coordinating stage activities
  • Overseeing housekeeping and cleanliness
  • Supporting crowd flow and safety mechanisms

This hands-on involvement gave students a front‑row seat to the massive scope of real‑time event execution.

PESU Students at the Heart of the Experience
Students from 2nd and 4th semesters of PES University were integral contributors to the day’s success. Their exposure wasn’t limited to theory—they engaged with live operations, interacted with event vendors, and shouldered responsibilities that tested their agility, organisational skills, and teamwork.

Through the day, they experienced

  • Crowd management as over 1,500 attendees flowed through the carnival
  • Back‑end operations—the invisible engines that keep events running smoothly
  • Front‑of-house coordination, ensuring visitors enjoyed a seamless experience

The smiles, chaos, energy, and excitement created the perfect learning environment.

Event Highlights That Stood Out
Even though no formal addresses or performances were scheduled, the carnival atmosphere thrived on movement and engagement. Students observed

  • Real‑world problem‑solving during live event changes
  • Continuous coordination between vendors, support staff, and organizers
  • The importance of quick decision‑making in large gatherings
  • The impact of a well‑organized environment on visitor satisfaction

The experience reinforced the idea that event management is equal parts creativity and operational excellence.

What Students Took Away
For many PESU students, the Oracle Family Carnival became a stepping stone into the world of professional event management. Their key learnings included

  • Understanding the end‑to‑end mechanics of a high‑volume public event
  • Gaining confidence in handling crowd behaviour and flow
  • Recognizing the significance of cleanliness, logistics, and timing
  • Developing hands‑on insight into how large corporations plan family‑centric events

The exposure they received at Oracle is bound to shape their understanding of industry expectations and operational realities.

A Day to Remember
The Oracle Family Carnival 2026 wasn’t just about entertainment—it was about collaboration, learning, and community. For the students who participated, it was a memorable step toward professional growth. For attendees, it was a vibrant celebration filled with joy, activities, and togetherness.

This blend of practical learning and festive energy made the event a remarkable success, leaving everyone involved with experiences they will carry forward into future projects and endeavors.
