Sparks of Innovation
Shrikant converted an old motorbike which was out of use into a racing bike which could easily clock speeds in the range of 130 km per hour. Riders would be surprised by the speeds the bike could attain with hardly any jerk or vibration. The engine, gear box, forks, disc brakes and suspension were modified for racing conditions. The tank, kicker, case side lamps and other parts were designed by Shrikanh using CADD and fabricated using lathes and laser cutting machines. A mobile phone with a customized app doubles up as a speedometer showing accurate time and distance. Shrikant is a final year diploma student at PES Polytechnic college.
