Sports Physiotherapy Expert Dr. Pearlson Kanagasabhapathi Enlightens BBA Students

The students of BBA Sports Management had a wonderful opportunity to have attended the Guest Talk on August 9, 2023 by Dr. Pearlson Kanagasabhapathi, Professor & Sports Physiotherapist, Founder of FIMT (2002-till date) (Federation of Indian Manual Therapists), and its mission is to provide advanced training in the specialty area of orthopedic manual therapy for physiotherapists, who has successfully recovered 1,10,000 patients in the service of 25 years. His knowledge on basics of Physiotherapy for Young Athletes is truly a learning aspect. The importance of healing an injury on Ground and off-ground during the game, is something that all sportsperson must be educated for, which is the Biomechanical Analysis. It also explains the right positioning during the game, angle of the serve, etc which is a prime reason that impacts the bones in the body. Dr. Pearlson also demonstrated how a cricketer faces hand/limb injury due to serving the Bat ,which leads to spinal issues. The session was interesting and interactive to students.
