With a total of 33 events spanning fashion, tech, adventurous activities, dance, and sports, Maaya 23 offered a diverse platform for participants to showcase their talents. Neolaia Fiesta, unfolded on November 10 and 11 transforming the campus into a vibrant hub of cultural and technological fervor. The inaugural ceremony was graced by a distinguished panel of guests, adding a touch of glamor to the event. Chief Guests Yuvaraj Govindrajulu, representing Bosch AIShield, and renowned film writer Dayal Padmanabhan shared valuable insights and inspiration. Guests of Honor Dr. Nagarjuna Sadineni, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Subhash Kulkarni, Principal of PES University EC Campus, and Dr. Krishna V, the Dean of Student Affairs, graced the event. The cultural kaleidoscope continued with captivating performances by renowned groups of Hashtag, Terpsichore, Nirantara, Tonic and A9th, Swarantraka, Panache, Clefhangers, and Mangobites and other dance performances by students of BBA, BCom, Nursing and Pharmacy. Mr. Dayal Padmanabhan's contribution of hundred copies of his latest film, Aa Karala Ratri, added to the vibrancy of the fest. The fashion showcase, Runway Renaissance was a glamorous affair featuring teams from colleges like BMS, M S Ramaiah, and ST. Francis. Team Meraki from PES University RR Campus clinched the top spot, bringing a fusion of creativity and style. Kannada Rajyotsava celebration on November 11 featured Kannada Kalarava, melodic performances by artists Vishal Anand, Pavan Bhat, and Madhu and a concert morning called maaya munjane. The traditional art forms of Huli Kunita and a Kamsale performance by BPharma students added cultural richness. The festival featured an engaging Dress-Up Week for which each day had a unique theme from Retro Day to Jersey Day, Cosplay Day, Mismatch Day, Barbenihmer Day, and Traditional Day and students showcased their creativity and style by donning the best attire according to each theme. The campus came alive with a vibrant display of colors, creating a lively and spirited atmosphere throughout the week. This youth-centric celebration, made possible by the generous sponsorship of Disha Habitat, Spin Unisex Salon, and Desire Tree, featured a delectable array of culinary delights. Earlier, the dress-up event in collaboration with the Comicon featured participants attired like a character as in a cosplay competition. As a precursor, on October 10, the stage came alive with the diverse and captivating performances of renowned artists, including the avant-garde sounds of Creatiwitty, the soulful melodies presented by Akhlad Ahmed, and the rhythmic beats delivered by Ryan Nogar. Each artist brought a unique flavor to the musical tapestry of the night, transcending boundaries and creating an electric atmosphere that resonated with a mix of talents and enthusiasts. This inter-college musical extravaganza not only enriched the cultural landscape of Maaya'23 but also exemplified the fest's inclusive spirit, uniting students from various institutions in a shared celebration of the distinctive musical styles and creativity brought forth by the performers. On October 28, witnessed a cultural spectacle with the Garba Gala event, a prelude to the Inter-College Techno-Cultural Fest. Both faculty and students showcased their rhythmic dance moves in traditional attire, enveloping the venue in an atmosphere of festivity. The amalgamation of cultural exuberance, technological innovation, and gastronomic delights truly defined the essence of Maaya'23.
