Ink and Impact: Where Literature Met Creativity, Strategy, and Innovation

Ink and Impact, organized by the INCORATES Club of the Department of BBA, was held on September 30, 2026 at the F Block Seminar Hall. The studyathon was designed as an engaging, team-based literature event that encouraged students to explore literary works through the lenses of communication, marketing, publishing, creativity, and strategic thinking.

The event brought together students in a dynamic and collaborative environment where literature extended beyond conventional reading and analysis. Participants were challenged to interpret literary works creatively while applying critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

The studyathon commenced with the Bingo & Author Challenge, an interactive round that tested participants' knowledge of Indian authors. The activity encouraged quick thinking, observation, and collaboration while creating an energetic and engaging atmosphere for the competition.

In the subsequent rounds, teams were assigned an author, a book, and a specific challenge related to publishing, promotion, audience engagement, or market positioning. Participants researched the author's literary contributions, analyzed the selected work, identified target audiences, and developed innovative strategies to address the assigned challenge. This exercise encouraged students to view literature from a broader perspective and understand its connection to branding, communication, and market outreach.

Every story has the power to create impact when imagination is paired with vision, communication, and purpose.

Adding a creative element to the competition, participants transformed their research into visually appealing posters and book-page designs. This stage enabled teams to combine artistic expression with analytical thinking, effectively communicating their ideas through creative visual storytelling.

One of the most exciting highlights of the event was the final round, where teams delivered five-minute skit-based pitches to a panel acting as publishers or investors. Through these presentations, participants showcased their solutions, defended their strategies, and demonstrated their understanding of publishing, branding, and audience engagement. The format promoted innovation while strengthening public speaking and persuasive communication skills.

The event also introduced students to the responsible use of emerging technologies. AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini were incorporated into the activities to support ideation, script development, and creative problem-solving. This provided participants with practical exposure to AI-assisted workflows while emphasizing ethical and effective technology usage.

With approximately 150 participants, the studyathon witnessed enthusiastic involvement from students who actively engaged in research, collaboration, creativity, and presentation activities. Beyond literary appreciation, the event served as a platform for developing essential professional skills, including leadership, adaptability, teamwork, strategic thinking, time management, and effective communication.

The successful execution of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the INCORATES Club members and volunteers, who managed planning, coordination, participant engagement, and the smooth conduct of all event activities. The organizers also acknowledged the valuable guidance and support provided by faculty advisors Prof. Neethi and Prof. Soumya, whose encouragement contributed significantly to the event's success.

More than a literature competition, Ink and Impact demonstrated how literary works can intersect with publishing, marketing, branding, and communication. By encouraging students to think creatively and strategically, the event offered a fresh perspective on literature while equipping participants with practical skills relevant to both academic and professional development. The studyathon stood as a celebration of interdisciplinary learning, innovation, and the transformative power of creative thinking.
