Associating with Indian Federation of Culinary Association to promote and nurture Indian cuisine

President of IFCA, Chef Manjit Gill and Vice Chancellor, Prof Jawahar Doreswamy signed the Memorandum of Understanding on January 17, 2024 towards furthering the federation’s objective of promoting and nurturing Indian cuisine across the globe. The alliance with IFCA which is associated with the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Culture places the institution in a position to participate actively in shaping the trajectory of culinary excellence in India. The joint vision encompasses a commitment to harness the potential of Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, and Blockchain to propel culinary practices into the future. The association will help utilize media channels and Geographical Indication (GI) tagging to showcase and preserve the rich diversity of Indian culinary traditions. The exchange of ideas with this association is sure to elevate the standards of culinary education through collaborative efforts and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Jointly supporting the accreditation and recognition processes will ensure the highest standards in culinary education and practice.
