Report on the Celebrations of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan's 132nd Birth Anniversary and National Librarians Day 2024 @ PES University Libraries

On August 12th, 2024, PES University Libraries celebrated the 132nd birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan and National Librarians Day at the Central Library, Golden Jubilee Block Complex. The event began at 10:00 AM with a floral tribute to the bust of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan by distinguished guests, including Prof. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar, PES University; Prof. B. K. Keshavan, Dean of Engineering; Mrs. Gayathri Sen, former Librarian; Sri C. Ramaswamy; and Dr. Subhash Reddy B, Librarian, along with the library staff.

Following the tribute, Mrs. Gayathri Sen and Sri C. Ramaswamy shared their experiences and insights with the library staff, reflecting on the enduring significance of Dr. Ranganathan's contributions to library science. The event concluded with a high tea, fostering a warm and informal interaction among the attendees.
