Learning Beyond Classrooms: B.Arch Students’ Site Visit to Chikkabettahalli

On August 7, 2025, the Faculty of Architecture at PES University organized a site visit for VII Semester students as part of the Design VII (UA22FA491A) course. The visit to Chikkabettahalli, Vidyaranyapura, Bengaluru aimed to give students hands-on exposure to real-world site analysis and contextual design challenges.

Purpose of the Visit
The site visit was designed to:

Help students understand the surrounding site context.
Identify and analyze existing issues and constraints.
Encourage documentation through measurements, sketches, and photographs for future design work.

Accompanied by faculty members Ar. Sharath Aithal, Ar. Madhuchand, Ar. Girija U, and Ar. Pranathi S Udupa, students actively engaged in observing and recording site details.

Activities During the Visit

Measuring and mapping the site layout.
Photographing and sketching key features and surroundings.
