Highlights from the 8th International Staff Sports Tournament 2026

The Department of Physical Education & Sports successfully organized the 8th International Staff Sports Tournament 2026 from  January 27 to 31, 2026. The tournament brought together staff teams from 28 universities and colleges across Karnataka and Sri Lanka, with more than 1200 participants competing across various sports.

The valedictory ceremony, held on January 31, 2026, marked the conclusion of the event. Trophies and mementos were awarded to the winning teams in the presence of Prof. Nagarjuna Sadineni, Pro Vice Chancellor of PES University, and Prof. Nihal Hennayaka, Sports Board Chairman at the University of Colombo. Both dignitaries applauded the participants for their dedication, sportsmanship and spirited involvement throughout the tournament.
