We are proud to announce that Sakshi Madhava Pai and Vaidurya Samaga, students of the 6th Semester, Department of Computer Science Engineering, have secured the 2nd Prize at the prestigious Manipal MedTech Hackathon 2026.

Their project, “Aarogya Mitra – GenAI‑Powered Personalized Medication Guides in Indian Languages,” impressed the jury with its innovation, societal relevance, and strong technical foundation. The solution focuses on simplifying medication understanding for patients by generating personalized, multilingual medical guidance using GenAI—an essential step toward accessible healthcare communication in India.

The team was mentored by Dr. Richa Sharma and Prof. Deepa S, whose guidance played a key role in shaping the project.

Organized by Manipal-GoK Bioincubator, along with MIT Manipal, Kasturba Medical College, and Innovation Centre MAHE, the hackathon saw participation from 80 teams across the country. Sakshi and Vaidurya’s outstanding performance placed PES among the top innovators at this national‑level event.

We congratulate the team and mentors for bringing pride to PES University and for contributing meaningfully to the future of MedTech innovation.
