The spirit of culture and creativity came alive at PES University as Kannada Koota, PES EC Campus, successfully organized “Kalantaranga – A Celebration of Talent, Culture, and Creativity” on April 8, 2026, at Seminar Hall–2. The event brought together students, faculty members, and guests for an enriching and vibrant cultural experience.
A Grand Beginning
The program commenced at 2:30 PM with an inauguration ceremony that set an enthusiastic tone for the evening. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Mr. S. Dhyan, Vice Head of Kannada Koota, who emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage and promoting artistic expression among students.

Kalantaranga featured a rich lineup of cultural and literary events, including solo dance, singing, drama, and poetic expression. Students from various departments—Engineering, Nursing, and Pharmacy—participated with great enthusiasm, creating an energetic and dynamic atmosphere.
One of the standout highlights of the event was the mesmerizing Yakshagana performance, which captivated the audience and beautifully represented Karnataka’s traditional art forms. In addition, classical dance performances and theatrical acts received immense appreciation, showcasing the depth of talent among students.
With over 30 participants and an audience of approximately 100 attendees, the event demonstrated strong engagement and celebration of cultural diversity within the campus.
Seamless Organization
The success of Kalantaranga was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Kannada Koota, under the guidance of Dr. Harish N. and Smt. Satyavani. The student coordinators, volunteers, and technical team worked tirelessly to ensure smooth planning and execution, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Recognizing Excellence
The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where outstanding performances were recognized and celebrated. Winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes from a total prize pool of ₹3,000.
