Heritage Documentation of Jain temples of Shravanabelagola

The excursion to Shravanabelagola for documentation of Jain temples proved to be an enriching and multifaceted learning experience for the students of architecture. They actively engaged in documenting and understanding the site comprehensively with on-spot sketches, measuring the temple precincts, and photography and videography. The students immersed themselves in the local culture by interacting with the residents, gaining insights into the community's way of life and traditions. The engagement created a platform for experiential learning, enabling the students to connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications creating a sense of responsibility towards safeguarding our cultural heritage. The Faculty of Architecture organized heritage documentation activity on Jain temples of Shravanabelagola on March 26, 2024.
