In an era where digital presence defines brand success, PES University took a powerful step toward preparing its students and faculty for the future. From December 26, 2025 to December 31, 2026, the BBA-HEM department hosted an intensive Workshop on Digital Marketing Skills & Faculty Skill Development Program at Tech Park E 201. The week-long event brought together students, educators, and an industry leader to dive deep into the rapidly evolving world of digital marketing.

A Workshop Led by Industry Expertise
The workshop was spearheaded by Ms. Madhumita Kalauny, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience across product marketing, software marketing, and industry marketing. Her wealth of knowledge added immense value, transforming the sessions into a practical, industry-aligned learning experience.

A total of 19 BBA-HEM students (1st and 2nd year) along with 5 faculty members participated, creating an energetic and collaborative environment for learning and experimentation.

A Day-by-Day Breakdown of the Digital Deep Dive
Day 1 – Understanding the Digital Marketing Foundation
Participants explored the digital ecosystem, starting with core marketing concepts and customer journey mapping. This laid the groundwork for strategic thinking in the digital space.

Day 2 – Content Marketing & Social Media Strategy
This session focused on the heart of digital communication: content. Students learned to craft platform-specific content and build social media strategies that resonate with today’s audiences.

Day 3 – Advertising & Audience Targeting
With practical insights, attendees uncovered how digital advertising works, the power of segmentation, and methods to reach the right audience through paid channels.

Day 4 – SEO, Analytics & Email Marketing
A hands-on introduction to analytics tools, search engine optimization techniques, and email marketing frameworks helped students understand how to measure and enhance campaign performance.

Day 5 – Integration & Career Roadmaps
The final day brought everything together—strategy integration, campaign planning, and guidance on career options within the digital marketing domain.

Key Learnings for Students
By the end of the workshop, attendees walked away with a robust skillset, including:

  • A clear understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem
  • Ability to create content for multiple platforms
  • Basics of digital strategy development
  • Practical knowledge of analytics and campaign tracking
  • Insights into various digital marketing career paths

These takeaways prepare students not only for internships and jobs but also empower them to think creatively and analytically about brand growth in the digital era.

Although the event did not include competitions or guest panels, the learning experience itself became the highlight. With 24 participants, the workshop offered personalized, hands-on exposure—something that is often missing in large-scale events.

Guided by a leading marketing expert, the faculty and students gained actionable skills that can immediately be applied to academic projects and real-world digital initiatives.
