The Strategic Compass Hack 2026, held from January 30 to 31, 2026 at the MRD Student Center, PES University – Electronic City Campus, was an electrifying overnight business hackathon where students from BBA and B.Com, across both EC and RR campuses, came together to solve real‑world corporate challenges under pressure.

With the buzzword “Ready to pull an all‑nighter for strategy, chaos, and big decisions?”, the event promised intensity—and delivered far beyond expectations.

Setting the Stage: Real Problems, Real Stakes
The hackathon kicked off with the release of problem statements sourced directly from companies.
Teams selected their preferred challenges, after which organisers aligned them with the right domains — Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Leadership. Students then chose the company they wanted to represent, laying the groundwork for a night of competitive strategy‑building.

The Night Unfolds: Crisis, Scandals & High‑Pressure Decision Making
Once teams were settled in, the real chaos began.

Throughout the night, participants faced

  • Hot problem statements dropped without warning
  • Crisis and scandal scenarios released as contingencies
  • Press‑release style interviews that tested communication clarity
  • Mentoring and evaluation rounds by
  • Chartered Accountants
  • Faculty members
  • Seniors
  • Alumni

These interventions helped refine each team’s strategy, pitch deck, and decision‑making approach, pushing them to think sharply under real-time pressure.

The Final Morning: Last Crisis & High‑Stakes Presentations
At dawn, a final crisis buzzer shook the participants awake, compelling them to adapt their strategies one last time before stepping into the Judges’ Round.

From all participating groups, six standout teams advanced to the final stage.

They faced a panel of five seasoned corporate professionals representing domains such as

  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Leadership

Each team underwent 30–40 minutes of rigorous evaluation, during which judges dissected their strategies, measured problem understanding, and provided sharp, constructive feedback.

This final round was the most meticulous—and the most rewarding—of the entire event.

A Masterclass in Experiential Learning
The Strategic Compass Hack 2026 wasn’t just a competition—it was an immersive experience emphasizing practical learning, strategic agility, and resilience. The intensity of the challenges, coupled with expert mentoring, ensured that students walked out not just with solutions, but with real-world business experience.

As the final scores were compiled and winners announced, the curtains fell on what can only be described as a mega event—one that blended collaboration, critical thinking, crisis management, and leadership into an unforgettable night of innovation.
