The Department of Hospitality and Event Management hosted Utkarsh 2026, an inter‑college competition, on March 11, 2026 at the Tech Park Building, 5th Floor. The event brought together 45 students forming 12 teams from 8 colleges across the city, making it a vibrant platform for talent, creativity, and collaboration.

The day‑long event began with an introduction to the competition concept, followed by discussions on teamwork, core competitions within respective departments, a lunch service, a cultural showcase, and a valedictory session.

While it was a non‑competitive participation for PESU students, the event served as an excellent learning opportunity. Students observed and practiced key aspects of event management, including conceptualization, scheduling, coordination, and resource handling. It also allowed them to witness real-time teamwork, leadership, and communication skills in action.

The event was organized with the collective support of all faculty members from the department, contributing to its smooth and successful execution.
