Bengaluru, April 26, 2026 — PES University students actively participated in the successful execution of the TCS World 10K Marathon 2026, held at the Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw Parade Ground. The event began in the early hours of the morning and witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 2,000 runners, volunteers, and officials.

PES University was associated with the event as a Support Brand Partner, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to experiential learning and community engagement at a global sporting platform.

Student Participation and Roles
Students from the BBA – Hospitality and Event Management (HEM) program were deployed across key operational areas of the marathon. Their responsibilities included VVIP coordination, event operations, crowd facilitation, and on-ground logistics management, offering them first-hand exposure to managing a large-scale international sports event.

The involvement enabled students to apply classroom concepts in a real-world setting while gaining insights into professional event planning, operational discipline, and teamwork under time-bound conditions.

The marathon was attended by several eminent dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, adding national prominence to the event and highlighting its significance in promoting health, fitness, and social responsibility.
