PES University organized an Inaugural and Orientation Programme for its first-year undergraduate (UG) students of Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Applications, Design, Psychology, Law, Economics, and Journalism. The event was attended by members of the University management, faculty, staff, parents, and newly admitted students. The programme introduced students to the University's vision, academic environment, and holistic learning approach, while highlighting opportunities for experiential learning, leadership development, industry exposure, and personal and professional growth.
Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, welcomed the students to the PES University highlighted the importance of a student-centric learning environment. He encouraged students to make responsible decisions, use technology wisely, broaden their knowledge across disciplines, and actively engage in campus activities. Addressing parents, he assured them of the University's continued guidance and support throughout their children's academic journey.
Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Hon'ble Chancellor, shared the vision and growth journey of PES University. He encouraged students to strive for academic excellence while actively participating
in clubs, internships, research, and entrepreneurial initiatives. He also stressed the importance of continuous learning, financial responsibility, healthy lifestyle habits, and discipline in achieving long-term success.
Prof. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar, expressed his gratitude to the University management, faculty, staff, parents, and everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the programme. He urged students to follow the guidance shared during the orientation, uphold discipline, responsibility, and values, and take full advantage of the opportunities available at PES University. He also reassured parents of the University's unwavering commitment to the growth, well-being, and success of every student.
The second half of the programme featured an engaging orientation session by Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Hon'ble Chief Operating Officer (COO), who provided students and parents with a comprehensive overview of the University's vibrant academic ecosystem. His address highlighted the wide range of opportunities available at PES University, including exposure, holistic personality development, industry collaborations, student clubs, research initiatives, innovation and entrepreneurship, internships, campus life, and the University's end-to-end support system designed to nurture students throughout their academic journey.
Welcoming the gathering, Dr. Shailashree Haridas, Dean, Faculty of Management and Commerce, congratulated the incoming students and acknowledged the unwavering support of their parents.

ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ಆಡಳಿತ, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ, ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಅಪ್ಲಿಕೇಶನ್ ಗಳು, ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ, ಮನೋವಿಜ್ಞಾನ, ಕಾನೂನು, ಅರ್ಥಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ವರ್ಷದ ಪದವಿಪೂರ್ವ (ಯುಜಿ) ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಮತ್ತು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರು, ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ, ಪೋಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ, ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅನುಭವದ ಕಲಿಕೆ, ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ಉದ್ಯಮದ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿತು.
ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ಜೆ. ಸೂರ್ಯಪ್ರಸಾದ್, ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಿತ ಕಲಿಕಾ ವಾತಾವರಣದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಸಲು, ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಪೋಷಕರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಉದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ನಿರಂತರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಜವಾಹರ್ ದೊರೆಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅವರು ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಗಳು , ಇಂಟರ್ನ್ಶಿಪ್ಗಳು, ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯಮಶೀಲತಾ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಾಗ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಲು ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ದೀರ್ಘಾವಧಿಯ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ಕಲಿಕೆ, ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕುಲಸಚಿವರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಕೆ. ಎಸ್. ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ ಅವರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ, ಬೋಧಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧಕೇತರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ, ಪೋಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಆಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ (orientation) ವೇಳೆ ನೀಡಲಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವಂತೆ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಿಇಎಸ್ (PES) ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ, ಕ್ಷೇಮ ಮತ್ತು ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಕುರಿತು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ದೃಢವಾದ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು
ಅವರು ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೆ ಪುನರುಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಎರಡನೇ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ (COO) ಪ್ರೊ. ಅಜೋಯ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಆಸಕ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಪರಿಚಯಾತ್ಮಕ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದರು. ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅವರು ಬೆಳಕು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದರು; ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಅನುಭವ, ಸರ್ವತೋಮುಖ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ವಿಕಸನ, ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳೊಂದಿಗಿನ ಸಹಯೋಗ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘಗಳು, ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ನಾವೀನ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಯಮಶೀಲತೆ, ಇಂಟರ್ನ್ಶಿಪ್ಗಳು, ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಜೀವನ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಪಯಣದುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಲು ರೂಪಿಸಲಾದ ಸಮಗ್ರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಸೇರಿವೆ.
ಸಭಿಕರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಡೀನ್ ಡಾ. ಶೈಲಶ್ರೀ ಹರಿದಾಸ್ ಅವರು, ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಪೋಷಕರ ನಿರಂತರ ಬೆಂಬಲವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
