PES University launches first year B.Tech, B.Pharm and Pharm D. programs: Reverberating the guiding principles from the founder chancellor, Dr. M. R. Doreswamy

The inauguration and the orientation of the first year classes for B.Tech, B. Pharm and Pharm. D programs of PES University at Electronic city campus was held on September 6th, 2026. The program was inaugurated by Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Hon’ble Chancellor, PES University in presence of Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Vice chancellor, Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Chief Operations Officer, Dr. Nagarjuna Sadineni, Pro Vice chancellor and Dr. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar, PES University.

Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Chief Operations Officer, PES University, was the guest of honor. In his inaugural address he stated that PES is committed to quality education. He began by showcasing a movie depicting the activities of various departments across campuses highlighting the key impacts of each department. Hard work and perseverance are the most important qualities that the student must embrace to thrust forward in life. He quoted that “There is no, one turning point in life, it is the life long journey of learning”. Practical skills development, personal well being, good peer group and building a network of professional relationships will empower every student to achieve greater heights.

Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Vice Chancellor, PES University in his presidential address stated that “Discipline is the legacy that the PES proudly embraces”. He also stated that “PES truly recognizes merit” and over 100 crore rupees worth scholarship have been distributed to meritorious students over a period of time. He emphasized the roles of both parents and the institution in nurturing the future of the student. He quoted that PES with the strong mentorship program caters to the need and guides the students to reach their life’s pinnacle.He emphasized the core principals of our founder chancellor, Dr. M. R. Doreswamy and quoted that Humility and Gratitude are the two important virtues to be embraced to achieve one’s life ambition. Additionally, he highlighted Dr. Doreswamy’s foundational doctrine of honouring mother, mother tongue, and motherland as an essential pillar for maintaining humility across all career and personal endeavours.

Dr. Nagarjuna Sadineni, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University proposed the welcome address and Dr. Tania Bose, Associate professor from the Department of Science and Humanities rendered the vote of thanks.

Prof. MRDand Prof. CNR Raomerit scholarships were presented to the meritorious students by the dignitaries. The dignitaries also offered their floral tribute to Sir M. Visvesvarayaand the founder chancellor, Dr. M R Doreswamyon this occasion.

Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Chancellor, PES University held an orientation session for more than1000 first-year students and their parents highlighting the important practices of the University that the students need to follow to become successful in their lives.
