Kala-Niti: A Unique Blend of Creativity, Strategy, and Problem-Solving

The Department of BBA and BBA Business Analytics at PES University successfully organized Kala-Niti, an engaging and innovative event that combined creativity, communication, teamwork, and strategic thinking. Held on October 7, 2026 at the BE Block 13th Floor Library, the event provided students with an exciting platform to showcase their talents while developing essential professional skills.

Organized by Kalaantrika, the event attracted enthusiastic participation from nearly 100 students who came together to experience a competition that went beyond conventional academic activities. Designed to challenge both creative and analytical abilities, Kala-Niti encouraged participants to think imaginatively while addressing practical problem-solving scenarios.

The event began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the competition format before participants moved into the first round. Teams were presented with comic-based visual prompts featuring problem scenarios and were tasked with creating engaging two-minute dramatic scripts based on their interpretations. This activity tested participants' storytelling abilities, creativity, communication skills, and stage presence while encouraging them to think beyond traditional approaches.

The second round shifted the focus to crisis management and strategic thinking. Teams were given problem statements and asked to develop practical solutions within a limited timeframe. This challenge required participants to analyze situations quickly, collaborate effectively, and present innovative solutions under pressure.

One of the defining features of Kala-Niti was its ability to blend creativity with critical thinking. Participants transformed simple comic narratives into compelling performances while simultaneously demonstrating their capacity to evaluate situations, devise strategies, and work collaboratively. The event fostered an atmosphere of learning, innovation, and healthy competition, enabling students to explore new perspectives and build confidence.

The judging panel evaluated participants based on originality, creativity, problem-solving approaches, teamwork, and presentation skills. The performances and solutions presented by the teams reflected a high level of enthusiasm, imagination, and collaborative effort, making the competition both engaging and rewarding.

The event concluded with the announcement and felicitation of the winning teams, recognizing their outstanding performances and innovative ideas. The closing ceremony also acknowledged the contributions of participants, organizers, faculty members, and volunteers whose dedication ensured the smooth execution of the event.

Kala-Niti was successfully led by student organizers Rishita Patil and Achala M. Nagendra, with valuable support from faculty members Prof. Manasa B, Prof. Ganga, and Prof. Minerva. Special appreciation was also extended to Dr. Jayashree Sapra and Prof. Manasa for their guidance and encouragement throughout the event.
