PES University Student Cricketer Niki Prasad Excels at National Level and WPL 2026

PES University proudly congratulates Niki Prasad, a 4th Semester student of BBA–Sports Management, for her outstanding performances and professional milestone in women’s cricket during the 2026 season.

Niki represented Karnataka in the Senior Women’s One‑Day Trophy 2026, held from February 6 to 28, 2026, where she showcased excellent form and consistency against top domestic teams. Her notable batting performances included an impressive 79 runs against Odisha, a solid 66 against Baroda, and a composed 46 against Railways, underlining her reliability as a key contributor to the team’s batting lineup.

Her performances at the national level further strengthened her reputation as a promising young cricketer. Recognizing her talent and potential, Delhi Capitals retained Niki Prasad for the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) season for a sum of INR 50 lakhs, marking a significant milestone in her professional cricket career.

Niki’s achievements reflect her dedication, discipline, and competitive spirit, as well as PES University’s continued support for student athletes pursuing excellence at the highest levels of sport.
