PES University proudly celebrates the remarkable success of its Chess Team, which delivered outstanding performances at two prestigious national‑level inter‑collegiate tournaments in February 2026, emerging as champions in both events.
The team first competed at “ATHLOS ’26”, a National Level Inter‑Collegiate Sports Fest organized by Alliance University, Bengaluru, held from February 18 to 21, 2026. Demonstrating exceptional strategic depth, focus, and composure across rounds, the PESU Chess Team secured the Winner’s title. Their dominant performance was rewarded with a cash prize of INR 15,000, marking a significant achievement on a national platform.
Continuing their winning streak, the team went on to participate in “REVELS CUP ’26”, another National Level Inter‑Collegiate Sports Fest, organized by the Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, from February 22 to 27, 2026. Competing against strong contingents from universities across the country, the PESU Chess Team once again emerged as Champions, earning a cash prize of INR 11,000.
Winning two national‑level tournaments in quick succession is a testament to the team’s analytical strength, disciplined preparation, and unwavering teamwork.
