PES University took a significant step toward enhancing industry‑aligned education with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Computer Applications and Design Esthetics, a Bengaluru‑based technology firm, on February 20, 2026.

The strategic partnership is aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and real‑world industry expectations by offering high‑impact internship opportunities to final‑year students of the Computer Applications program. Through this collaboration, students will gain hands‑on exposure to complex technical projects, enabling a smooth transition from classroom theory to professional practice.

A notable highlight of this MoU is the involvement of Mr. Satish, Founder of Design Esthetics and a distinguished alumnus of PES University, who initiated the partnership as a gesture of giving back to the institution that shaped his professional journey. The MoU exchange ceremony took place in the presence of Dr. Veena S., Chairperson, Department of Computer Applications, and Prof. Nitin V Pujari, Dean, IQAC, PES University.

Under the agreement, internship tenures will range from three to six months, allowing students to engage deeply with industry‑grade projects. The collaboration also includes a provision for Full‑Time Employment (FTE), where exceptional interns may be offered permanent roles at Design Esthetics based on performance and organizational requirements.

To support effective learning and productivity, both institutions have committed to providing the necessary workspace, infrastructure, and state‑of‑the‑art facilities, whether students work on‑site at the company or within the university’s project labs.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Satish expressed his pride in partnering with PES University, emphasizing his commitment to nurturing the next generation of technology professionals. Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Vice‑Chancellor, PES University, highlighted that the MoU goes beyond placements, stressing its focus on quality mentorship and the development of industry‑ready professionals capable of solving real‑world challenges.

This collaboration marks another milestone in PES University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen industry partnerships, enhance experiential learning, and prepare students for successful professional careers in the evolving technology landscape.
