The Professional Housekeepers Association (PHA) Conference 2026, held on May 30th, 2026 at Eros Hotel, New Delhi, brought together leading voices from the hospitality sector to explore the evolving landscape of housekeeping, innovation, and AI-driven operations. This year’s theme, “Leadership in the Art and Science of Housekeeping,” set the stage for impactful discussions and knowledge exchange.
Representing PES University, Dr. Bhaskar Sailesh (3rd from the left in the group photo), Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, attended the conference as part of the university’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the Industry–Academia interface. His participation reflects PES University’s focus on bridging academic insights with real-world industry practices, ensuring that students and faculty remain aligned with emerging trends and expectations.
The conference featured keynote sessions by hospitality leaders, discussions on the integration of AI in housekeeping, and presentations by innovative organizations such as Peppermint Robotics and Vileda Cleaning Solutions. With over 175 delegates in attendance—including industry professionals, facility management leaders, and technology innovators—the event provided a rich platform for learning and collaboration.
One of the standout reflections from the conference was the quote:
“Housekeeping is the work that nobody notices unless it hasn’t been done.”
This message underscored the importance of operational excellence, attention to detail, and the evolving role of technology in delivering seamless guest experiences.
Dr. Bhaskar Sailesh’s participation not only enhanced PES University’s engagement with industry stakeholders but also emphasized the role of academia in shaping future-ready talent for the hospitality and service sectors. The insights gained from the conference will contribute to the ongoing development of academic programs and experiential learning opportunities within the Department of Management Studies.
PES University looks forward to deepening such collaborations and continuing to bring cutting‑edge industry knowledge into the classroom.
