The 12th convocation of PES University was held on July 26, 2026 at the PES University campus. Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Chancellor of PES University presided over the function and awarded certificates to Ph.D. and rank holders.
Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi, was the chief guest and delivered the convocation address. Dr. Banerjee congratulated all the young graduates for receiving their graduation certificates. He said PESU and IIT Delhi have collaborated on a few projects in the area of advanced systems of Engineering and Technology. He
advised students to focus on discovering their selves and maintain skepticism while learning. He pointed that learning does not stop with graduation; the journey of learning is lifelong. He said the students should cherish the friends and families, which is needed during the difficulties to be resilient. They need to learn to work in teams for common goals without worrying about personal credit.
Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Chancellor of PES University, unveiled the scroll of honor and presented the oath to passing out graduates. In his presidential address, he congratulated students and said that behind every degree received today there is a story of silent sacrifice, tireless support, and unconditional love. In his address, he said your parents celebrated your victories, comforted you through your setbacks, and selflessly invested their resources and dreams into your future. This day is not only about achievement, but also about the values that are woven into the very fabric of PES. These values are the legacy of our founder Dr. M.R.Doreswamy. Dr. Doreswamy lived his life with three values: Perseverance, Excellence and Service. Perseverance is to never give up, even when challenges seem insurmountable.
Excellence is not a destination, but is a lifelong pursuit in everything we do and finally service- to remember always, knowledge is most meaningful when it uplifts others and contributes to society. Prof. Jawahar wanted every student to remember that perseverance will be their anchor, excellence their compass and service their polestar as a destination. He noted that the students carry not just the name of PES University but the charge to navigate the real world with courage and conviction.There are four differentiators to navigate in the real world-called LIFE, namely, Learnability-ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn; Innovation-solving real, human problems; financial prudence-making thoughtful decisions—with money, with resources, and with opportunity, and Excellence-True excellence is simply the habit of doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.
Prof. Jawahar emphasized that in today’s hyper-competitive world, it is incredibly easy to get caught up in a relentless anxiety for immediate recognition and overnight success.The pressure to constantly prove oneself can be overwhelming. To counter this, he urged students to awaken a deeper, more resilient philosophy within themselves through PESU mascot JAGO that reminds students to be grounded with qualities like Joyful, Approachable, Generous and Optimistic.
Vice-Chancellor of PES University Dr. J. Surya Prasad proposed the welcome address and presented a brief report of the University. Dr. K.S. Sridhar, Registrar rendered the vote of thanks. 31 gold medals and 102 silver medals were given to students for their exemplary achievement. In all 5268 students received their degree, included 4 Ph.D awardees, 1 M.Tech by research awardee and 1375 Master’s Degree. Of those students who received bachelor’s degrees, 74 graduated with University Honours degree, and 3075 graduated with distinction.
Chief Operating Officer Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Controller of Examinations Dr. Karthik S and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.

ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ 12ನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಘಟಿಕೋತ್ಸವವು 2026ರ ಜುಲೈ 26ರಂದು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಜವಾಹರ್ ದೊರೆಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪಿಎಚ್ ಡಿ (Ph.D.) ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕ ಪಡೆದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
ಐಐಟಿ ದೆಹಲಿಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಪ್ರೊ. ರಂಗನ್ ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ಜಿ ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಘಟಿಕೋತ್ಸವದ
ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಪದವಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯುವ ಪದವೀಧರರನ್ನು ಡಾ. ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ಜಿ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿವಿ ಮತ್ತು ಐಐಟಿ ದೆಹಲಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮುಂದುವರಿದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹಯೋಗಿಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಮಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಂಬಂಧವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವತ್ತ ಗಮನಹರಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಯುವಾಗ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುವ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಲಿಕೆ ಪದವಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವು ಜೀವಿತಾವಧಿಯದ್ದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು, ಇದು ಕಷ್ಟಗಳ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಸ್ಥಾಪಕತ್ವವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಲ್ಲುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತಿಸದೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುರಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ತಂಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಅವರು ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹಿತ ನುಡಿದರು.
ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಜವಾಹರ್ ದೊರೆಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅವರು ಗೌರವ ಫಲಕವನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಪದವೀಧರರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾ ವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಇಂದು ಪಡೆದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪದವಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗದ ತ್ಯಾಗ, ಅವಿರತ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಷ್ಕಲ್ಮಶ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಕಥೆಯಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲ ಗೆಲುವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಗಳ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ವಿನಿಯೋಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ದಿನವು ಕೇವಲ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ನ ಮೂಲ ಸ್ವರೂಪದಲ್ಲೇ ಹಾಸುಹೊಕ್ಕಾಗಿರುವ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳಿಗೂ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಆರ್. ದೊರೆಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅವರ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಾಗಿವೆ.
ಡಾ. ದೊರೆಸ್ವಾಮಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವೆ ಎಂಬ ಮೂರು ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದರು . ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ, ಸವಾಲುಗಳು ದುಸ್ತರವೆಂದು ತೋರಿದಾಗಲೂ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡದಿರುವುದು ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ. ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯು ಒಂದು ತಾಣವಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಮಾಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲದರಲ್ಲೂ ಜೀವಮಾನದ ಅನ್ವೇಷಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆಯು ಇತರರನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಿದಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದಾಗ ಅದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದ ಜ್ಞಾನ. ಪರಿಶ್ರಮವು ಅವರ ಆಧಾರಸ್ತಂಭವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯು ಅವರ ದಿಕ್ಸೂಚಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವೆಯು ಧ್ರುವತಾರೆಯಾಗಿ, ಗಮ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಅಂಶವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಧೈರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ದೃಢನಿಶ್ಚಯದಿಂದ ನೈಜ ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು ದಾಟುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ನೈಜ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾವಿಗೇಟ್ ಮಾಡಲು ನಾಲ್ಕು ವಿಭಿನ್ನತೆಗಳಿವೆ – ಲೈಫ್ (LIFE) ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುವ ಅವುಗಳೆಂದರೆ, ಕಲಿಯುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ - ಕಲಿಯುವ, ಕಲಿಯದಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕಲಿಯುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ; ನಾವೀನ್ಯತೆ-ನಿಜವಾದ, ಮಾನವ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ; ಹಣಕಾಸಿನ ವಿವೇಕ - ಹಣ, ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವಕಾಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚಿಂತನಶೀಲ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ - ನಿಜವಾದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ಎಂದರೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಅಸಾಧಾರಣವಾಗಿ, ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಇಂದಿನ ತೀವ್ರ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ತಕ್ಷಣದ ಮನ್ನಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರೋರಾತ್ರಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಪಡೆಯುವ ನಿರಂತರ ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಸುಲಭ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೊ. ಜವಾಹರ್ ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವು ಸಾಬೀತುಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಒತ್ತಡವು ಅತಿಯಾದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಹೊರೆಯಾಗಬಹುದು. ಇದನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ದೃಢವಾದ ಜೀವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ನ ಶುಭಚಿಹ್ನೆ ಯಾದ 'JAGO' (ಜಾಗೋ) ಅನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದರು. ಈ 'JAGO' ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷ (Joyful), ಸ್ನೇಹಪರತೆ (Approachable), ಉದಾರತೆ (Generous) ಮತ್ತು ಆಶಾವಾದ (Optimism) ದಂತಹ ಗುಣಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಯೂರಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುವದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ಜೆ. ಸೂರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ವರದಿಯನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಕುಲಸಚಿವರಾದ ಡಾ. ಕೆ.ಎಸ್. ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ ಅವರು ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆಗಾಗಿ 31 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕಗಳು ಮತ್ತು 102 ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಒಟ್ಟು 5,268 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಪದವಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ 4 ಪಿಎಚ್ ಡಿ (Ph.D) ಪದವೀಧರರು, ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಎಂ.ಟೆಕ್ (M.Tech) ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದ 1,375 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ನಾತಕ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದವರ ಪೈಕಿ, 74 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು 'ಯೂನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿ ಆನರ್ಸ್' (University Honours) ಹಾಗೂ 3,075 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು 'ಡಿಸ್ಟಿಂಕ್ಷನ್' (Distinction) ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತೀರ್ಣರಾದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಅಜೋಯ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಕ ಡಾ. ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ ಎಸ್. ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
