Independence Day Celebration - 2026 @ PES University

The 80th Independence Day celebrates eight decades of self-rule in the nation, through observing concept of liberty, self-determination and civic responsibility in the perspective of young people who will be taking charge of the country during the coming decades.

The programme started with the flag hoisting by the chief guest, an alumnus of PESIT, Mr. Shubham Agarwal, Founder and CTO of Vyapar Fintech. He inspired the audience through focusing on the freedom to pursue, create, execute, and realize one’s aspirations.

Following the formal addresses, the celebration moved into its cultural segment, which brought together performances from three student groups. The Musical Club of PESU (MCOP) presented a music performance, followed by a skit performed by the Department of Performing Arts that combined singing, acting, and dance. The Dance Club of PESU (DCOP) concluded the cultural segment with a dance performance.

Earlier, Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor welcomed the dignitaries. Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Hon'ble Chief Operating Officer (COO) addressed the audience with his inspiring words on civic responsibilities and Prof. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar, proposed the vote of Thanks.
