Bruins Roar’26: Celebrating Sportsmanship, Teamwork, and the True Bruins Spirit

The Institute of BBA and BBA Business Analytics at PES University came alive with excitement, energy, and competitive spirit as Bruins Roar’26 was held on September 16, 2026. Bringing together over 200 students from six BBA sections, the event transformed the campus into a vibrant arena of sports, teamwork, and student engagement.

Designed as an inter-class sports festival, Bruins Roar’26 featured thrilling competitions in Basketball, Cricket, and Badminton, giving students a platform to showcase their athletic talents while strengthening bonds beyond the classroom. The knockout-format matches added intensity and excitement, with participants displaying determination, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the event.

What set Bruins Roar’26 apart was its inclusive approach. Alongside the sporting events, a Classroom Challenge was organized to ensure that every student could actively participate. Through fun and engaging interactive games, students who were not directly involved in sports competitions also became an integral part of the celebration, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and togetherness.

The event was entirely driven by student collaboration. From event planning and coordination to photography, videography, technology support, and crowd management, the Bruins student organizing team demonstrated exceptional leadership and organizational skills. Their commitment ensured the smooth execution of every activity and contributed significantly to the event's success.

Beyond trophies and titles, Bruins Roar’26 emphasized the importance of teamwork, healthy competition, leadership, and personal growth. It provided students with opportunities to build friendships, learn valuable life skills, and create lasting memories that extend far beyond academic pursuits.

The competition witnessed remarkable performances across all categories. The Cricket Championship was won by Bhumik H (Captain), Thanush, Amogh, Arnava, Abhinav S, Ashwin, Anish, and Aniketh. In Badminton, Vishruth and Shreyan emerged as winners, with Shreyas BN and Samarth Singh finishing as runners-up. The Basketball Championship was secured by Nithin Kirutik N., Athish, Mohammed Thauheed, Ninaadh Gowda, Partha KN., and Nitesh Chaudhary. The Classroom Challenge champions were Naincy and Navneetha.

As the cheers echoed across the campus and participants celebrated their achievements, Bruins Roar’26 proved to be much more than a sports event. It was a celebration of unity, passion, and the vibrant culture of the BBA community at PES University.
