B-Talk #47: Exploring the Agentic AI Revolution in Business

The Faculty of Management and Commerce, Institute of BBA and BBA (Business Analytics), PES University, organized B-Talk #47 on September 30, 2026. The session, titled "Think. Decide. Act.: The Agentic AI Revolution in Business," was delivered by Mr. Ganesh Iyer, Founder of LiminaHub Pvt. Ltd. The event provided students with valuable insights into the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on modern businesses.

One of the key messages from the session was that "AI is not magic. It is mathematics." Mr. Iyer explained how concepts such as Linear Algebra, Calculus, and Natural Language Processing form the foundation of AI systems. He demonstrated how these technologies enable machines to process information, learn from data, and support decision-making in real-world business environments.

The session explored several important topics, including the 7 Levels of AI Maturity, Crossing the Chasm, the Generative AI Paradox, and the Autonomous Agentic Loop. Students gained a deeper understanding of how AI is evolving from a supportive technology into a decision-making partner capable of enhancing efficiency and innovation.

Mr. Iyer also emphasized the importance of solving problems quickly, learning through execution, and making decisions in situations of uncertainty. He encouraged students to develop the ability to identify meaningful insights from large volumes of information and to focus on practical application rather than theory alone.

A significant part of the discussion focused on the Decide–Execute–Deliver model and the growing importance of human-AI collaboration. The speaker highlighted that the true value of AI lies not only in reducing costs but also in scaling capabilities, improving productivity, and creating new opportunities for growth. He further explained how technological advancements have transformed the nature of work, drawing parallels between traditional methods and modern automation.

The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, where students interacted with the speaker and gained practical perspectives on automation, business transformation, and the future of work. The discussion inspired participants to embrace continuous learning and adaptability in an increasingly AI-driven world.
